I don't have a problem with young people being religious, but young girls, wearing close to nothing around their private parts, showing their adoration for Christ definitely has a funny sense of irony. I'm sorry, I thought modesty was a part of being a Christian lady; but perhaps Christ didn't mean it when he said, "But I say to you whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." MATT. 5:28 KJV. Consider this verse when supporting your claim.

No, Jesus meant everything he said. He is the Word & the Truth. The LFO Cheerleaders do dress appropriately. No cleavage showing, no midrift showing, nothing hanging out.  The verse you refer to Matt.5:28 would be addressed to the person lusting. The person obsessed or focussed on the "private parts" you spoke of would be considered sinning. Matt. 5:14-16 tells us "Let your light shine before men..." 1 Tim. 2:9&10 might be a better arguement, although they do dress with decency.

God bless these girls! Shouldn't people take heart the cheerleaders would even take the initiative to start the Bible verse tradition? How does it violate the separation of church and state if it is entirely upheld through students?

We need more courageous Christians like these cheerleaders!

@nikitaanderson Actually, her full name is Lauren Alaina Christine Suddeth, but like wakupwereonyourside said she goes by Lauren Alaina. Apparently when she got out to Hollywood, the peope there suggested that it'd be better if she went by her first and middle name. She agreed because she thought that people would have trouble pronouncing her last name. They did the same thing to Scotty. He usually goes by Scott, but they told him Scotty would be better for some reason.
