The magazine release problem is from your mag catch having oil on it and maybe it's too small. Try an aftermarket. I had a packmeyer mag that did that. However, I tried 4 other brands and they work perfect 18 magazines tested only the Packmeyer sucked. Frestorm 1911 .45 Govt. and 2-Tone.
