Tommy Boyd Song - John W. Conroy Photos, The song is about the lack of shared sacrifice, and endless war. John is a Photo - Journalist and has recently returned from Afghanistan. John has also been to Iraq several times. John and his brother Pete are veterans of the Vietnam war (1966 -1967 ). John mentioned to me, Dustoff was a term used during the Vietnam War to describe a medical evacuation of the wounded by helicopter. ..... I recorded this in my living room, so the sound quality is not as good as I wanted. Dust Off is listed at Neil Young's site Living With War Today.
