About New and Old Disney -An Alice Rant-

Being raised on Disney movies from the 80's and 90's I've grown up knowing Disney as a great artistic world of fantasy. No matter how depressed someone get's you can't help but cheer up after watching a good Disney classic. ^^

I know Corny as hell, BUT YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE!!!lol

Being an artist myself (though not a good one lol) and a music lover it broke my heart to see Disney's not even trying to impress anymore and has hopped on the 3-D band wagon. T-T

Lets face it, ever since 2000 hit a Disney movie has just been "as good" as any old cartoon.

Well I say it's time for them to hop on off the band wagon and learn to walk again!

Okay, you're little bit on villain songs, and Frollo's song in Notre Dame is one of your favorites, I couldn't agree more. That is one of the MOST BADASS Disney songs ever.

4:38 HAHA! "You got to see a cute little... alien... dog thing dance to Elvis." XD I love you, now.

Enchanted was a cool movie, but if you payed attention, Disney was feeling very lazy with the writing, as it did have SEVERAL relations to previous Disney princess movies.

They were supposed to be relations to the classic princess movies :3

They even used the same camra angles for the dance scene near the end from beauty and the beasts ballroom scene.

Also, I enjoyed Wall.E and Ratatouille, along with Meet the Robinsons and Chicken Little, but the part of Disney I REALLY loathe is the shit they're spewing out called Hannah Sluttana, Hell School Musical, and the Ho Bros, but, again, you're right, Disney should go back to the 2D animation because that's what we grew up on, and I JUST BARELY managed to see, as I was born in '95, but my favorite Disney movie, even though it had no vocal music, was The Great Mouse Detective. ^_^

I completely agree with you! It almost makes me cry to think how bad Disney has become.. I'm so happy they are making the princess and the frog in 2d.. I'm gonna give it a shot and hope they include some vocal singing.. Another thing.. Disney Channel.. is basically.. crap.. all those lame series with tweenies who can sing, are pretty and basically perfect in every way according to Disney.. Makes me wanna puke.. And the Jonas Brothers.. Don't EVEN get me started! YUCK! Come back old Disney... :'(

You said 2D is better than 3D, and even a kid would notice Beauty and the Beast (which has 3D) is better than Brother Bear (which doesn't)

It may have been a while since you've seen it. "The Great Mouse Detective" wasn't as memorable with its musical numbers as other Disney animated features and was stronger with other aspects of its storytelling.

Professor Ratigan sings a number, "The World's Greatest Criminal Mind" in that movie. That, and he recorded a rendition of "goodbye so soon" for Basil and Dawson when they were tied to a mouse trap set to go off when the record ended.

There's also the scene where Basil and Dawson visit a seedy bar at a pier and a female mouse sings a song "Let me be good to you."

@headintheclouds23 Hell yeah! 2-D is a good calorie-burning workout for your arm! No wonder there are so many health freaks out there! We must've passed Phys-Ed with flying colours throughout our public education years!
