  • Hey i was just wondering if you could give some advice for how stiff skates should be.i know its not always good to have the highest and the most stiff model especially for beginners.is it just because they would have some difficulties learning on not forgiving skates or is it simply because theyre not at the level they can benefit from all features?i'm kind of intermediate skater can crossover and control edges and i like quality stuff so is vapor x 5.0 good for me or should i go with sth soft?

  • @feriplankton Have u seen our video out skate stiffness? its on my channel so check that out. The reason is actually both of what you listed, 2 stiff a skates make it twice as hard to learn correct strides, stopping, turning, flexing the skate in different motions etc thats why its so important to get the correct level skates. Without seeing you skate, i wouldn't know exactly what level u are at. x5.0 are not a super stiff skate so they will be great for an intermediate, join our forum page

  • I need some help with sizing into Vapor X50's. I know that bauer only comes in EE and no E...but does that mean that bauer customers only have a choice of regular or SUPER wide or does EE literally equal E? My second question is I don't know if I'm a D or a EE. So I'd really appreciate it if you guys can help me out. My foot length is 10.75inches and my width is 4.218inches. Dividing 10.75/4.218 I get 2.548. Hope this information is enough. THanks guys

  • @lecquify I've replied to this post on then comment you left at Hockeytutorial. com .. haven't ignored you :)

  • Is it normal for your leg to move side to side in the empty space between the back piece and the tongue?

  • @yummydj If you mean your ankle is moving side to side inside the skate then they may be to wide for you. We have a video that shows you how to check your size and width from home, search for "find hockey skate length and width" on google / youtube or you can click on the link imbedded at the top of this video.

  • Hey there, I got a question. I have small size feet but they are wide. 9.2 / 4 = 2.3.

I know that 9.2's are junior sized. But 2.3 is way wider than an E width. So far I haven't found any skates (inline, I do inline hockey) in the junior sizing to have a wider width than E. How?

  • @juvenilee6videos I freakin love you. I've learned a lot from your videos. Thanks!

  • @juvenilee6videos

Yeea i watched that and it was my laces i had to loosen them but thanks anyways

  • @SaTuHLiTe Could be a case of the skates needing time to be broken in, but it sounds like you have the wrong size width, when buying a new pair of skates its best to check your foot length and also width as skates come in different sizes D,E,EE etc.. we have a video for finding out your sizes from home

If you check out the videos on the right of the screen it should be listed there title "how to find your size hockey skate width" perhaps join our site forum to continue, link in vid description
