  • @acinomgirl well yes dear.. joanna ampil is one, did perform in a couple of west end musicals but wasn't good enoug for an olivier. suck that!

besides you have to be great to be on broadway and better than great to get a tony or an olivier.. and not many filipinos are good enough for broadway, or for a tony and an olivier.. so shut the fuck up, and just be proud of a filipino who's brought so much pride to your country!

  • @acinomgirl i do agree. we can be proud but in many times this too much pride stirs trouble. it even gets annoying. but having said that, i love Lea. she's beautiful and got the voice of an angel. a very talented woman.

  • would someone care to read the comments below?

filipinos really know how to start a fight and it's not good.

  • @msgatotito can you name other filipino who's worked outside the country and are on the news? besides, i'm not being disrespectful to their talent, i'm just saying...

  • @acinomgirl YOU are stupid! get your facts straight before blabbing in here moron!

  • @henrymaux33 Lea won the Tony because she worked on Broadway and the Olivier because she worked in the UK. Nationality should be secondary. In fact, Boublil, Schoenberg, and Mackintosh went to the Philippines to find Lea, it wasn't as if she left and went to London to try her hand at stardom like some starstruck kid. While I realize she is a national treasure in the Philippines, why can't the world just admire her beauty and her voice and let nationality take a backseat?

  • @acinomgirl I think you are trying to be knowledgeable in your comment, when, in fact you are not knowledgeable. There are some Filipinos who worked outside the country as broadway actors and actresses, but, none of them is excellent to win an Olivier and Tony.

  • @acinomgirl you're kidding?
