Dude I want to paint one of these like a candy blue color.. put some vdub rims on it.. throw a boom system in it..

Nice motor, you don't see the 2bbls too much. Also, get the fuel filter out of the engine compartment! Who cares if it probably won't break or fail, but it's a risk that could end up in an unstoppable magnesium fire.

you really should tighten that belt..

I have an 1973 reg beetle that I bought a year and a half ago. I put a new freeway flyer tranny, complete wiring harness, disk breaks on the rear/ drums on front, mine has a 1600cc with a single weber progr. carb and the exhaust is Monza tips that are snake tongue. Well now at the end of this month August I am upsizing to an 1776 thru Scat with big bore using 90.5mm. I would start with getting all the kinks out then go crazy on cosmetics. Next for me is a carpet kit from Mid Amer. Motorworks.

dude you should either move your fuel filter or put some clamps on that bad boy. it would be pretty sad if that thing burned up before you had a chance to paint it!

Its german hose. Its designed to not need hose clamps. You just cut the end of the hose off after you pull the filter off, then stick a new filter on it.
