I can't really say I know anyone who listens to my music, though people I talked with on the internet who listen to this kind of music were mostly intolerant idiots. I hope this generalization is anything but truthful.

That does not make one bit of sense... There was a recent study (Walker & Kreiner, 2006) that stated college students who listen to heavy rock and Metal "actually obtain higher IQ test scores on average, particularly on questions where abstraction is required". As for people I know? While at university, it was amazing to see the broad spectrum of Iron Maiden fans in all corners of academia. For me Iron Maiden and earlier bands sparked my love for the deeper things

@iambored2006 Well from the people who I generally come in contact with who listen to iron maiden, they are generally fairly smart people. I obviously can't speak for everyone but...i can speak from experience and who i personally know.

I'm not saying Bieber-listeners are better, but people who listen to metal are generally below average. I mean, come on, how many intelligent people do you know who listen to this kind of music? The same goes to people who listen to pop. Conclusion- the people of this world are generally stupid in their whole. Side note- Iron Maiden's my second favourite band.
