I agree. She sounds and acts like she should be "reporting" for People Magazine or something! UGH!

Criminally laughable.

everyone knows (or should) that the major news networks are for entertainment ONLY. If you want real journalism, you get it from blogs, Democracy Now!, or greg palast's website. Everything else is laughable.

This is a simple case of media following up on minor issues to give the impression that they are holding people to account. In reality the big issues have no oversight , bailout, car bailout, Iraq war, Iran war, $13 trillion public debt, no funding for Medicare, Social Security funding - THERE IS NO OVERSIGHT - this is a media mirage that they are acting on behalf of the people. Who cares that someone can buy a Senate Seat? Barak just brought the election for $740m.

Yes,but WHY is it recieving such wide attention? And I agree with you re:Palast. The mainstream media bury or slant everything else,WHY is THIS story recieving wide coverage?Especially in the completely corporately owned US media?!I haven't watched TV in years and this "anchor woman" seems more like the gossipy neighbor than reporting on a news story. That's just my opinion of how this anchor, for lack of a better word, talks and behaves re:this "news" story.Peace.
