From the killer live album ' Live and Dangerous' ... Brian Robertson laid down a great pentatonic blues solo with great melody and taste .
I slip here and there but tried my best ... for some reason when you know your recording you tense up and next thing you know ... bad timing , bent notes are a little off .. etc ...blah blah blah

Equipment used

Epiphone Les Paul Custom
Custom Valve 50Blue Traynor combo

No pedals used .. just amp overdrive and amp reverb

  • Gary Moore this time?

Top notch mate, missed a bit of the epicly fast bit no? I can't criticise, thats way in excess of anything I'm able to achive on 6 strings!

You clearly enjoy this bro! keep it up!

  • I believe Gary Moore played the studio version but surprise surprise ... it's Brian Robertson's solo (lol) off the Live and Dangerous album ... I actually prefer Brian's solo on this one over Mr Gorhams ... better choice of notes in my opinion ... on the faster section I just kind of winged it ... it would sound alright on its own but of course you can hear Robbo's flurry of notes so my playing sounds a little scrambled over top of it . lol

  • Added my own harmony at 1:31 .. heh heh

    Good work !

  • fuck all wrong with that - respect!!

  • to hell with the mistakes. you kick lots of ass.

  • GREAT !!! THIN LIZZY the best !!!

  • i seriously almost cried. Great song, Great cover. This solo is top ten for me, easy. btw, saw the romeo and the lonely girl solo cover as well. Both were amazing!

  • Lost your way a bit at the end (last few bars) other than that bang on. I like tro see people dare to play the real thing rather than messing about with simplified backing tapes. Watch for my version soon.

  • The soul is there man, great job

  • Just brilliant, Wil<3<3
