There is bipartisanship. The conservative democrats and the republican minority. They are saying no to government controlled health care. Why is this so hard to understand. The simple argument that the private option will remain available to those who choose it means nothing to the people who keep their private insurance, pay for it, and then also pay for other people's public option.
I cannot understand how liberal Americans, who hate big government, can be in favor bigger government.

Public option is not one sliver of health care reform.
Public option is the "PILLAR", The BACKBONE OF HEALTH CARE REFORM.
It is the only mechanism for cost control. Otherwise, it is just a Handing-Out-Billions Bills to the healthcare for pro-fit industry.

PUBLIC OPTION !is the best but if you dont like it just buy something else.. there will always be private companys to go to...this is only for the uninsured and those who want it...I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE THINK THIS WILL LIMIT CHOICE? RIGHT NOW 47 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE NO CHOICE THEY HAVE NO HEALTHCARE AND YOU ARE PAYING THEIR WAY ALREADY!! AT LEAST WITH PUBLIC OPTION WE CAN PREVENT THESE PEOPLE FROM ENDING UP IN E.R. ..SUPPORT THE PUBLIC OPTION!!EITHER WAY WE WILL PAY WHY NOT GET BEST DEAL??

Critics say the public option is really a Trojan Horse for a government takeover of all of health insurance. But nothing could be further from the truth. It's an option. No one has to choose it. Individuals and families will merely be invited to compare costs and outcomes. Presumably they will choose the public plan only if it offers them and their families the best deal -- more and better healthcare for less
