Mahindra Thar road test and video review - Mahindra Thar 4x4 for a detailed review off-road

The Mahindra Thar is without doubt the most exciting offroader in India. The version we review here comes with the Mahindra Xylo's engine under the hood slightly tweaked. Sporting classic Mahindra looks, this is a great open top vehicle to take on the road also. It behaves on-road better than the MM540 did, and off-road, the 4x4 high and low gears make sure that there is no stopping it. Sure the price is a wee bit expensive for a vehicle which cannot be your first car if you are in a city, but it is sheer fun and will make you want to buy it for sure.
