@chessdocumentary True - although human's will always have that special skill , 'something' ,which is unable to be replicated by machines, and at times more powerful than any computer program will ever have, and way more valuable ----- 'intuition' Roy

In Chess human's rely on memory and patterns compared to computer's who rely on brute force mathematical calculations. Recently human's have started to program 'pattern matching' into computer's making them a lot stronger.

@Electromusicaus That is fascinating- if "pattern matching" can be written in computer code to further improve the strength and speed of chess engines, this is surely one more step towards "artificial intelligence"?
