Computer Problem...

Hey everyone, I was recently reformatting an AST Laptop with:
500mhz cpu
160mb ram
about 3 gig HD

I had windows 98se on it but I dont like 98, because of all the errors and problems that constatly occur. I used Norton Partition Magic 8.0 to delete all information on the HD.

I now get a error saying "No operating system found" which is obvious. Also and error like:

"Save to Disk partition not found
Save to Disk feature is disabled
Run Phdisk for information.
File: creat new. PARTITION: consult manual.
Hit any key to exit."

I can click enter on that, and then this information will stay up and it will say something like "Invalid Partition Table"

I have tried going into bios to make cd rom boot and I cant get windows 98se, windows xp, or norton partition magic to boot.

Install an operating system like Windows 2000. Just boot the CD (if you can) or use the floppies to boot the CD and install it!

XD it's obvious, you deleted your operating system, and you may not have enough HD left to install another one. You see, you deleted your HD files, right? Well, that 3 GB HD is not going to hold anything. Plus, it sounds like you need a new computer. That one's toast. Might I recommend the Dell Inspiron 15 N5040

hi i have desktop pc the oration system is xp pro and all of suddent the windows stopped from starting...all i can see is black screen with messages(WE APOLOGIZE FIR THE INCONVINIENCE,BUT THE WINDOWS DID NOT START SUCCESSFULLY.A RECENT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE CHANGE MIGHT HAVE CAUSED THIS.).....and few messages please help how can i bring back the windows thanks

ok have you tryed any unformating utilitys.

also you could try the hard drive on another computer and maybe install an operating system on it then put it back in the computer. if not then i could tell you some more solutions.

that computer sucks.. get a new hard drive and ram..... those are way too low to almost run any thing lol...

Well maybe u shouldn't have deleted ALL of the information in the HD.
