Anyway, both countries were wrong. Japan was wrong for killing civilians, but so was the USA. Nobody should ever justify killing civilians. In fact, nobody should ever be able to justify a war :-S

Refusing to sell oil and other precious metals that the Japanese lacked in order to supply their own war with China is NOT and I repeat NOT provoking someone.
