@paul6082 mmm, i wouldn't be so quick to comment on japanese culture. like any other culture at one point in time, it is both a mix of past and present. japanese culture has changed remarkably in some ways during the 14 years i've lived here, yet there are some values and traditions that remain firmly implanted. broad statements about any culture, and the societies that create them, are usually wrong. pace of change can cause problems, but dead cultures are the only cultures that don't change.
