@berlinausdermatrix It was a REAR screen projection. Did you see that doc where they show Richard Hoagland back in the day saying it was Alien cities on the moon, but then the film techie says hoagland was led astray by the 3M rear projection screen which Kubrick used. It can't really be verified that he didn't bump it slightly as he went by. Saying that he definitely didn't bump it would be a subjective observation at best, without a clearer video to rely on.
