Slugger's Spider bitten slide show

This is a timeline of photos detailing our dog that has been bitten by a brown recluse spider. Oddly enough he is actually not in pain and appears fine aside from the 6 inch hole in his side due to the tissue has died.

We have tried many options and we have spent a fair amount on vet bills recently. We may still end up failing in our attempt to save him but at least we went down fighting.

dispite being alive.. I'm sure that dog suffered a ton... possibly being in torture. you must have shot that thing up with some serious antibiotics to keep him kicking through all that suffering and infection

Strangely enough the biology of a Shar-Pei was a blessing and a curse, because his skin is loosely attached to his body he never really noticed the gaping hole in his side. He never cared when we were changing bandages or flushing out the leg.

That also made it difficult to treat as well because there wasn't a lot of blood flow to his skin. He was on Antibiotics from time to time but not for a really long period of time.
