Sorry, I should have posted how to do that on the video. I'll add it as an annotation, but it's easy to do:
Use the "subselect" (White Cursor) Tool to select your path.
Click the "Pen Tool" Under "Vector".
Click On a point which is already part of your path and it should just disappear!

Wow, I didn't know that fireworks had so much functionality that illustrator had. The only vector tool illustrator had that I couldn't use in photoshop was path combining (which I sorely miss), but fireworks apparently has it, which is cool.
