I was driving to Radio Shack today, so I thought I'd test out my Canon Vixia R100 as well as its partner in crime - the Vanguard Clip On Tripod. My hair is a mess, so don't be too frightened.

does it come with a remote? ive seen some people unbox and they had remotes for self control as well?

@NicoleTiana Hi Nicole, Sadly, the R100 is pretty barebones - no remote included and I don't see one available later either. If you need a remote you should look at some other models. The Vixia comes with in Camera Battery charging only (with an AC Adapter that it does come with) The good news is that 3rd party chargers and batteries are VERY cheap for this camera...like $10 each.

@NicoleTiana It's VERY nice for it's price. It's mostly for point and shoot applications - not much in the way of accessible manual controls - but what it does auto is fantastic, and for $200 it's AMAZING! That's the interest I've paid on most prosumer cameras!
