Since UPS drivers worldwide log about 2 billion miles per year, we focus a lot of attention and technology on how to reduce fuel consumption and environmental impact. We've learned a lot about driving over the last century. You could say we wrote the book on it. (And we actually did write a 300-plus page driver's manual filled with safety and fuel-saving tips UPS drivers are taught to use!)

Whether you're driving a tandem tractor-trailer rig or the family mini-van, you can benefit from some of the principles UPS drivers apply to save gas. Here are seven simple tips that can help you save gas and go green.

  • @dammyousuck waiting to make a left turn can leave you idling for quite a long time, especially in high volume traffic areas.

  • @acedogg692005 Do you have the hard data to prove that assertion? If you do, your Jeep is in serious need of a tune up. Of course the idle time is a definite factor. For most vehicles if you idle for more than a minute you are definitely using more fuel than consumed by starting the engine.

  • THEY DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ANYONE ALL THEY CARE ABOUTIS MONEY, LOOK AT THIS PATHETIC LOSER

  • This works fuel411.info

  • @liedABOUTmyAGE You mean not turning left? because your not waiting for traffic to clear.

  • someone plz tell how the F*CK 'turning left' saves your fuel

  • $100 says this is either in blackshear Ga or Tifton GA I live in Southeast GA and those two are close to me were really good freinds with one of the ups guys who is usually the one who delivers our packages

  • WTF

  • why not left turns? is it cause of you crossing the other lane?

  • @doogrisa Sure they are. Side affect is helping the environment.
