after I have done my bondo and then put on a polyester primer, if I then see something i missed, can I cheat and put on some LIGHTWEIGHT bondo filler over the primer, then sand and prime more over it?

I wouldn't use cheap (Bondo) filler over anything-- use the same good quality filler you used under the primer. Rage Gold, for example, is essentially made of the same acrylic urethane substances that you paint with- thus, they are very compatible. You can paint right over urethane filler, or put more primer over it.

Can you tell me the difference between regular Bondo and rage gold and lightweight body fillers? I have only used regular Bondo. The others cost so much more. Why?

I don't know the exact chemical differences-- but as far as use- the expensive fillers sand WAYYYYY better and ultimately provide a better finish, and in the end, far less work for you.

You can use that kind of filler to start, but it won't leave a smooth surface for painting.. You will need to apply a final layer of plain filler that will leave a smooth surface. Please see the Easy Paint Your Car web site for details. Thanks - Neil

My car has some scratches on it, do i sand that with 100 grit? and then apply putty and sand it again with 80 grit? and then the whole car with 400-600 grit for the base coat and then wet sand it before applying the clear coat? i need help am trying to paint my car.

@neilslade yeah im just stuck on money im gunna get a new one its a slow leak so itll probly take a month before it goes down 3 inches but i did try some barrs leak and it held fora couple days but then it eventually broke and the leak was way worse for some reason so im done using that stuff
