Another new one, the beginning of this one was written earlier on, in maybe 2008 but I finished it off for to submit for a composition module in my BMus course - someone once said that the best way to motivate yourself is to have a gun to your head and being told you need it tomorrow, it's so true! Hehe ...

Again, it's for string orchestra, like my other piece on here, I also have a fuller orchestra version which isn't complete yet. Also includes the classic Ross Xanthopoulos chord progression of i - iidim - iiidim - V7 :P Please, please, please, guys, if you watch this, do comment, I love to hear from people about my work, very few have done so already (thanks reapermark :) ) . Even just to say hi, do comment! It will be much appreciated. Thanks for watching again!

(Btw, I realise I've scored 'solo' for certain instruments and Sibelius hasn't played this back correctly, apologies)

  • Use 'samples' (vienna symphony, east-west- etc.,). Your performance will sound so much better!

  • @peppersax Money that I don't have :P I can always hope thought :P

  • i like it :) so true about motivating yourself to do it. i have to compose a piece in bach choral style in b minor due tomorrow with a bunch of V7 chords and i have not gotten very far!! lol

i like the triplets, and the chords at the begining. very nice. :)

  • @Anae420 Thanks, triplets are very prevalent in my pieces hehe

  • i like ur chord progressions.. but not what u do in each chord... too much hitting the same note more than once... like in order to keep up a rhythm of like straight eigths or sixteenths? thats not even a good reason to do anything... eh, nice jobe but i tink it needs work :O

  • @piggemz Sorry you didn't like it :(

  • well, what can I say, first of all- I hate sounds from Sibelius, I would love to hear it with real orchestra.

In general, it reminds me a bit of my work (single main motif, going throughtout the piece, with some things in beetween). I think its great- something nice growing behind that, but again, I can't say more, because I hate sibelius sounds :P

  • Wow! This piece reminds me of the finale to Schubert's String Quartet No.15. Here, check out my original composition by clicking on my username below, it should be the first video to show up.
