  • So so so glad to see a very black border collie :)!

I have a 11 week old pedigree border collie who is very much like yours but with a tip on white on its tail and little white feet thats it.

I was walking with her in the street the other day and this woman said what a nice border collie cross i told her it was a pedigree brdercollie she just said its too black :@!! rude!!

anyway sorry to bore you with my boring story :p. thanks

  • @pixledaisy

There is a border collie in one of our pedigrees who has a name "Black"..i often have thought this dog must have been all black...

  • yes that is a BORDER COLLIE !

yes bc can be pure black with no white marking

  • @scenexbam Hey thanks for th backup..we have been getting hammered by people who don't know the breed

  • god you guys are stupid the puppies can start swimming and having a bath at 4/6 months old

  • @DOGLOVERSCHANELL We start our puppies puddling when ever they want to start; usually around 7 weeks old. They swim in the lake, puddle in the creek and have a blast. I am not sure where you got your information..but you keep your puppies out of the water until 4-6 months old..and ours will continue puddling as they please.thanks for the post.

  • Lovely video, cute dog, i have a tri bc called Holly, she turned 3 in June, i love bc's!.

  • Okay people, time to do some research, a border collie can be any color in the dog world, except solid white, it should be a little longer than it is tall, it can come in any coat type(rough, smooth, wirehair, curly, everything in between) can have any eye color, and any ear type, so the dogs ears can stand up, flop over, or be mitch match. So do some research, and don't assume that a border collie is only a black and white dog, or that any dog with black and white markings is a border collie!

  • What a cute little one Victor is!!!! Or was.... lol

Totally agree with you about all the different shapes, sizes and colours of BC you can get.... My last 2 BC's were sisters and one was long coated the other had short and brown patches... Proper borders can be all sorts not just the "breed standards" that are popular in the show ring nowadays....

  • i thought purebred border collies have white tips on there tails if not there mixed breed

  • @enterprise401 All colors are accepted lol..and the size can change too...i have a 30lbs border collie....and my friends bc is 70 lbs lol...and they are pure...and my border collie is also more black...well shes a ''black head'' border collie

  • @enterprise401 no problem, my bc is also all black expect the thin blaze on her head, white chest marking, all four paw have white on it, white tip tail but shes more black than white...........black bc is very rare so you have a rare bc ! :)

  • OK, here is the deal. In order to be a "pedigree" the only requirement is that both parents were "pedigree". Border Collies have been always bred for their intelligence not their looks. Only in recent yearshave they entered in stupid "Beauty Contests" where they only look at appearance. You can't tell a "pedigree" by looks alone. It is just a papers - "did you pay your fee" game.
