Gordon Brown FINALLY decided something after months of dithering, he will do a televised leaders debate. He better make sure he takes those meds, wouldn't want to be shown up by easy questions from people like breakfast TV presenters. Considering how bad Gordon Brown performs in PMQs, it should be VERY easy to destroy Gordon and New Labour's reputation.
Recorded from BBC Weekends News, 03 October 2009.
The Labour MP for Edinburgh North & Leith, Mark Lazarowicz, has admitted on his blog: To me, the issue is pretty clear cut. Like it or not (and I don't!), the SNP is a major party in Scotland and there really is no sustainable excuse for leaving their leader out of any leadership 'head-to-head'. I think that to try and do so might indeed lead to a successful legal challenge. 2009-10-06

To ignore Scotland and Wales altogether shows up the union as a total farce. If the debate goes ahead it gives the Brit parties a huge unfair advantage over the SNP and Plaid Cymru.

Whatever Clown does at this debate will look bad on Labour and himself, should invite Nick Griffin and Nigel Farage (Is he still leader - I'm not sure) on to the show, that would make it more fair and very entertaining instead of this Lib/Lab/Con Monopoly.

Mr Salesman Clegg, the reason 4 million voted Lib Dem in 2005 is because of Charles Kennedy, whom you don't hold a candle to.

Why would the SNP want to block this? It's impossible to win a general election in this country unless you stand in all constituency contests. Since the Scottish and Welsh nationalist parties only stand in their respective regions, they should really not be concentrating any energies on who will inevitably form the Government next year. However, I do think that these debates should include more of the parties who are standing nationwide, such as the Green Party or UKIP.
