also the asteroids are a walk in the park in the snes version. There really is only one asteroid you have to deal with, and it spawns in your path at regular intervals. So as soon as you see it move your ship so it's off screen, and it's gone.

Umm space battle in this game isn't as complicated as you make it out to be... You hit afterburners to go after ships. In fact if you arn't hitting afterburners constantly, you are a sitting duck and likely to get killed in later missions. I personally tap it repeatedly so as to conserve fuel.

classic games that dont make it to wii

i love the music before you start a mission too

For some reason the SNES limited only limited you to one ship/debris @ close range, that explains the *realtime* BS. Best thing to do is just have your wingman not attack or send them home, and just take out everything solo.

buster, their is a way to bypass the asteroids in nav 2. first when you are about to go to nav 2, go back to nav 1. next, go to nav 3 and once all the salthi are history go directly back to the tiger's claw

Oh come on, youre killing me with the asteroid field. You blast through it full speed. When i get my computer back, i'll show you.

@BCSBuster im an original player of this game and the computer version on a 386/25 was amazing frame rate. this guy not only talks too much he pretends that he knows this. on a 386 or 286 this game flew... and we all used keyboard to win it.

i actually like wing commander snes better than the pc because the music is great and the characters look way better like spirit, she looks beautiful unlike the pc version she looked like a friggin zombie and the grahpics are just the same almost but hey we all have our opinions so i am not going against your opinions :]
The PC version of the game was much better. You can download it for free on various sites and play it in DOSBox.

I did download it, and have played it before doing this LP series. Although the controls are better, and the cutscenes have a much better frame rate, I think the Super Nintendo version just sits better for doing a Let's Play series.
Just my own thoughts and experiences.
