as miniscule as it is I think it adds credit to ourselves and our profession if we address the risk and do our utmost to ensure it doesnt happen to the people we care for! ie- screening vascular exam and assess risk factors and modify techniques to make them safer in general (less rotation in Cx spine)

The chance of getting struck by lightning is about 1 in 700,000, while the chance of CVA occurring after a cervical manipulation performed by a trained chiropractor is about 1 in 10,000,000. I would say that's a pretty good comparison:)

People get struck by lightning all the time....use a better comparison people.

Most of the force is directed into extension. I appreciate your comments, however our training is slightly different. I can appreciate that as well. I'm constantly trying to develop my own art for the benefit of my patients. I have a feeling that you are doing the same. I wish the best for your practice!

You don't know what you're talking about. If someone is going to stroke, eventually they're going to stroke. Better it be in a doctor's office than while driving a car or playing sports! Any way, the chance of a CVA from a chiropractic adjustment is so miniscule. You have a far better chance of getting struck by lightning!

No hard feelings. I happen to be a Chiropractor who uses physical therapy. lol. I agree that you do not have to use rotation to adjust the cervical spine. Yet, Dr. Takeyachi is not overly rotating the cervical spine.
