I was driving around the perimeter of Symington Yard in Winnipeg when I caught this transfer. CN slug 268 and repainted GP9 CN 7258 were bringing some containers and panel track over from Transcona to Symington. 7258 was recently repainted with a special paint scheme celebrating CN's 15 years of being a private company. Of special interest is the set of panel track on the rear of the train... like model railroad track.
Sounds like some sticking brakes on some of those intermodal cars.

Man love the 15th anniversary paint scheme on that GP9. Talk about a weird train set for this train; train wheels on the top set of intermodal containers I never knew they could do that. Awesome catch and lash-up Steve

Now that GP9 looks cool, I like them but they look so old in that old paint

Now that's what I call cool.

i love watching trains pull track. i feel like its pulling model railroad tracks. I have never seen a 15 year locomotive, or a shunting train (the slug and the GP??) pull containers.
