@ursineOne anthopomorphic GW is a bald faced lie...what the guys in the 70's was saying was TRUE. We are going into an ice age and our pumping crap in the air is helping keep things warm for a time. Thing is when it flips this time it's going to be really violent and aburt. Faster than flash freezing a mammoth standing up...which has happened. @bigblindguy John Ringo really is named John Ringo. His parents named him after the gunfighter from the American Old West. I've met the guy at a number of cons and seen his driver's license.

@ursineOne It's all a matter of time-scale. Have temperatures been rising over the last 100 years? Yeah, probably, by fractions of a degree. But taken over the course of the last 10 millennia? Over the course of it's time as a life-supporting planet, Earth has on average been much hotter than it is now. Cooler climates are the exception, not the rule.

It was good, tho I felt the first 1/4 or so really, REALLY dragged. Once we got past that, it picked up. 7/10

IMHO, it was OK, not his best work. However the author is mistaken (and or unwilling) to look at the rather substantial evidence that global temperatures are going up. We may eventually end up in another ice age, but until then it's getting warmer. Consider Russia's drought/fires as well as the flooding in Pakistan and China. The heat engine that is our planet's climate is being driven harder.
