Life in Soweto is tough enough for humans let alone horses. But one man is on a mission to help them. Enos Mafokate overcame all odds as a black rider to become one of the country's leading equestrians. Now he works with animal charities to help overworked and abused horses. "To me, they're not animals, they're people," he explains.

@sheedalaadie Enos is but one man, a single star in a dark sky. My comment was about Enos, not the condition of their horses.These horses do suffer horribly, and I am highly opposed to that. American clinics could earn him a lot of money to take home to care for horses with! He wouldn't have to live here for good. They can have him back. This video shows Enos is quite an experienced horseman and equestrian and people like this help horses everywhere. Yes, South Africa needs him badly. Thanks!

@walk4trot2canter3 I think the people & horses in Soweto need him a bit more than u do u selfish ass. its people like u who make Americans look like spoiled brats & self centered crybabys, u should be wishing you could help him do a clinic there 2 educate people, save,& better the quality of life 4 these horses. USA has many qualified trainers 2 provide adequate education & care for u & ur horse. instead u want the possibly the only help this city has. Spoiled selfish brat! Hes a hero to many!
