http://www.hdhatstore.com/ - HDHat iHat4 Review - Apple iPhone 4 4S Super Wide Angle Lens Case with tripod mounts. This is a review or demonstration of the iHat 4 by Baton Rouge Home Appraiser and Real Estate Video Tour Videographer, Bill Cobb.

Installation was easy, the iPhone 4 slips in securely to the tripod mount and slips out when needed. After turning the iPhone setting to Airplane Mode to avoid video interruption, simply turn on the video camera, lock the focus and you're ready to shoot wide angle video like the video demonstration.

Lens Not For Shooting Super Wide Angle Photos. I didn't find this lens useful for shooting wide angle photos. That's not the purpose of this lens.

Macro Lens as well. This lens is for shooting HD video only, not for shooting super wide angle lens photos. However, this is 2 lens in 1 and the larger lens screws off to reveal a cool macro lens for up close photography of coins, flowers, etc..

Note: There are 3 other video demos and or reviews on the HDHatStore.com sales page for this specific lens, including a review by Chris Pirillo, and instructions on how to lock the focus.

The Audio I'm Using. I'm using the iPhone adapter from KVConnection dot com, using $24, and then plugging my Audio Technica Pro 24 Stereo Mic, usually around $60, into the KV Cable for superior sound quality. Specific cable needed is: iPhone 1/8 inch microphone adapter - 3.5mm 4 conductor TRRS Male to 3.5mm Microphone Input Jack from kvconnection.com

Note: This lens in review was provided by HDHat.com.

  • Great comparison Bill. I like the graphic at the end too. Thanks!

  • Wow this is so cool. I love the still visual at the end because my dorky untrained eye couldn't really see the difference in the videos. (I guess I was too focused on the building itself.) You're great on camera too! - @GinaParris
