I am currently a pharmacy technician in the navy. From San Diego. I work in-patient and LOVE IT!!!! I'm currently doing pre reqs, then when my enlistment is up I wanted to transfer to maryland state.
1. how do you know what your schools pharmacy program emphasis is?
2. I noticed most California schools require bachelors if transferring do you find this beneficial? Since I saw many schools on the east coast only require the 2 years pre pharmacy.
3. Do you have to know all the drug names (trade and Generic), indications, adverse reaction, side effects, and drugs classes? Reason why I wonder this is because in my tech school we had to memorize all of this for over 500 drugs so I wanted to see if pharmacy school was similar.
Awesome man! How important is it to become a pharmacy tech opposed to volunteering? Is one better than the other, or do they both help just as much? I am aware that techs do more than volunteers, but does it make that big of a difference?
