Hi :) This is going to be a Jemi story and it will be written a different way to the others. I hope you like it

Kickstarts
SCENE Demi and her mother are in a dance studio
"I Couldn't Wait to Go" Demi's POV

Spinning. Spinning Spinning.
And I kept spinning; not wanting to stop. Stopping would mean criticism. And I can't take it anymore.
The music flowing through my head from the expensive sound system on the wall, I made myself stop and dance through to the next part of my routine. Jump, splits, pirouette. I push myself to the end and collapse on the floor, physically and emotionally drained.
"Good. But you can do much better."
I lifted my head, too tired to do much else. "How can you say that?"
My mother/choreographer sighed. "You can do so much better. You aren't even trying."
"You think this isn't TRYING?! I am so tired from working my butt off yet you think I am not trying?!"
"There is no way you are going to get through eliminations."
I pulled my iPod from the docking station and stuffed my jacket into my duffel.
"Where do you think you are going young lady?"
"Home. F**k you."
As a shocked gasp escaped her lips I thrust the door open and allowed it to slam against the wall. I passed the front desk, slamming my pass down and shocking the receptionist.
"Demetria Lovato."
She nodded and I walked out.

As I walked down the street with a warm coffee in my hand half an hour later I realised it would have probably been smarter to go straight to my apartment. My leggings, tight vest top and loose, cut-off oversized t-shirt were not the best thing to wear on a cold autumn night. Especially in the part of town I live. Let's just say it was cheap and for a reason.
I heard footsteps behind me and I took a deep breath. I slowed and heard them slow as well to match my pace. I started walking faster and my heart rate rose as I realised I had to walk through an ally to get home. Cliché right?
Gathering my courage, I stopped under one of the rare streetlights and turned to face whoever was following me. I was honestly shocked when I saw it was a guy, carrying a guitar, who looked nothing like a stalker. He looked shocked that I had stopped.
"Demetria?" he asked.
"It's Demi." I said, going to say more, then stopping myself; realising I didn't know who this person was.
"I know. Do you not remember me?"
I racked my brains and it hit me. "Joe?!" I bounced forward and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Why didn't you stop me earlier?"
His hands went around my waist and I smiled at the familiar feeling I had missed for so long. "I wasn't sure it was you."
"Well you scared me."
"Sorry for that." His hands pushed me away and he scanned over me. "You look beautiful."
I smiled. "You haven't changed a bit, have you?"
"No." His hand moved up to my cheek and fit around my face. "You really are beautiful."
I looked down to hide my blush. "How was your time in the UK?"
"I'll tell you. But I want to get you off the street in that outfit."
I wrapped my arm around his waist and side hugged him. "My apartment?"
"Yeah. When did you move out?"
"About two weeks after you left. Mom became too overpowering."
"Oh. And, I'm guessing, since you're in your dance gear, you stormed out of a session."
I giggled. "I just wish she'd let me choreograph my own routines. I know what I can do."
Knowing not to push the sensitive topic any further, Joe resorted to his strong point. Comedy. "You have at least washed those clothes right. 'Cos they're the last thing I saw you in."
Laughing, I nodded. "Of course I have. What do ya take me for?"
He nodded and laughed with me. "Good."
