  • I must commend you on your guitar work and teaching ability Its helped me considerably I went on to learn Paul stookys version on my 12 string but have eventually come full circle and prefer your version on a six string and now studying your video of summertime version Thanks for giving your time to make these videos many thanks

  • @musicmanhug Thanks, and you're welcome.

  • honestly good job but you talk too freakin much...just slow it down when u are doing the teachin and break it down to sections like you did and It would make the lessons alot more effective...I have taught several people that way and you would be surprised how much faster they progress when you do it that way

  • @mshelton42788 Considering I'm doing it for free in my spare time, if people get it, great. If not, I guess they can pay someone to teach them. I have learned some Tommy Emmanuel just by watching his Youtube videos without ANY instruction. If I can do that, then people SHOULD be able to pick up on what I'm doing in my tutorials, you would think....

  • Just a suggestion...you get more positive feedback if you get better results with the lesson...just tryin to help ya out

  • @mshelton42788 Thanks for the advice.

Well, I've got 450 subscribers in a little over a year, and 95% positive feedback, so I must be doing SOMETHING right. The few complaints I get (except for yours) is that I don't show picking patterns. I really don't have the time to do it. I have found that most people trying to learn songs are strummers anyway, so it would just be a lot of effort to show the picking for little benefit.

  • You do a great job on this its great. I've always loved this song and appreciate that you have taken the time to teach it. I know. you don't show picking patterns but would you please consider it. I have for this song but yours sounds much better and would really like to see what your doing here. I can't figure it out. Thanks for the great lessons.

  • Thank you for taking the time to teach your version of this song which is beautiful and equal in my opinion to the original, and how great that Im not goin to have to struggle for weeks to find my way thru this song by listening and learning the hard way like I normally do.The picking pattern? Well I always find my own way as long as I like how it sounds thats my picking pattern. muscmanhug

  • @xxrb123xx Sorry, I don't really have a "pattern".....just do what sounds good to me.

  • Dude, great work but incomplete without your pick pattern. Consider it, after all, it is a lesson. Thanks.
