Samba Nova is a member-supported and volunteer-run band based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Primarily a percussion group, Samba Nova plays rhythms and songs from Brazil, as well as Brazilian-inspired fusion pieces.

Everyone is welcome to attend weekly workshops with no experience or instruments required. Those who show commitment to the band can also perform at year-round events such as the Atlantic Jazz Festival during the summer, or Carnival in the Winter.
