The General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns is charged by the 2008 General Conference of The United Methodist Church with a monumental task -- to help bring healing to indigenous peoples through an act of repentance.
Throughout the quadrennium, nearly 2 dozen listening sessions have been held around the world to understand the history and current realities for indigenous people.
Findings are clear, words will not be enough.
