I AGREE,, do your knowledge young lady thats why the abductor and adductor machines dont work cos there functionally wrong the abductor are your glutes and tfl and this exercise doesnt work them do your homwork before releasing a clip

I am an instructor for a senior citizens group. The way she demonstrates this exercise is wrong. You should never tie anything around your legs. You can take the elastic tubing on the floor under your feet with the handles in hand. Exchange the handles into the opposite hands creating an x. Pull the handles slightly towards the waist the begin to step out to the right for a count of 8. Then continue with the left.
