Slave Song by SADE

So what if Sade is/ isn't the "daughter of a slave." There seems to be an ignorant belief that africans not descended from enslaved africans are somehow superior to those with direct lineage to the enslaved africans.

I am Nigerian and and sick of all this ignorance. What's with the "fufu" "booboo" comments and the equally appalling "ex slave" comments still doing the rounds! In the words of Bob Marley, "emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds...".

Slavery IS the Blackman's holocost. Then & NOW!!

ignorance is the new slavery....money is the new slave master...they trick ppl into believeing they need money over everything...just as they tricked tribes into thinking that the salves there were trading would come back after 8 years.....with out education we may as well took the locks off our risk and put em on our heads...its nolonger a race thing its a pocket thing..they give the poor whites the same books as the poor latinos which is the same as the ones they give poor blacks(FACT)

Sarsquare you also have a valid point, being positivism and fh yours being of a rebelious spirit. A combination of these views is whats needed for action, So that we can LEARN from our past and EDUCATE the future. Um yea GOD is a powerful protector fh, and he knows better than us, what took place back then, but we must UNITE to make sure it NEVER happens AGAIN.

Your one of the people who has excepted the fact that slaves were taken and tortured and worked till death. But u want this history to be forgotten and the slaves to be forgotten aswell and "not cried" for. Lol i'm not white, and i appreaciate a good reply. I'm Puertorican actually. Read up on our history, theirs a reason why i can relate to this, you have no idea. If you desire to cry, go ahead, if you don't, don't. I myself know it's hard to not get emtional or even angry for what some of our auntsisters had to go through so forth, im not a hippie.. im just myself, a human being who speaks her mind. So, in a way im pretty realistic myself. I think realism is what's gotten me far in my life:)

Oh and another thing, i dont comment on these things to get thumbs up. I prefer ppl to let others know the reason of it, communicate.. let ppl know. :)
