But here's the crux - Hitler et. al. weren't evil because they were atheists. They didn't kill "in the name of atheism."

Yes Stalin did kill those who tried to have church, but that wasn't so much "forced atheism" as an attempt to prevent a rival power from taking control of his people away from him.

Religion can't say the same thing.

The possibility of magnets arranging them selves in different ways doesn’t give more information, It might give you 1-2 bits of random code "NSSNNNSS" etc, but not the kind of information that is required for a living organism to live and reproduce "This Cat should have black hair". As said above on this comment page already, Hitler was a Christian. Maybe you should see some of the literature from his speeches. Well you could listen to it but Im guessing you dont speech German. Or you look up that much of his support was from very prominent Church leaders. You are the one who needs to do your research.

Well, we can have a debate on whether or not it was the in the name of atheism but something tells me that you lack the knowledge of history for it.

However, I must also admit that this video was not on the crimes of the religious people so perhaps this little scuffle was unecessary. I was raised a Jew and rejected it quite early but acknowledge the possibility of a deity. Where did your journey start?

Anyone who studied Hitler knows that he was an atheist. You obviously have not studied the third reich or Hitler. As for Communist dictators, getting people to worship them didn't exempt them from being atheist. You could argue that the people who worshiped them were religious but the leaders weren't. Just so you know, I'm not some bible thumping Christian, I'm agnostic, I just find all of this militant atheist movement very ignorant and arrogant.
