Several people have asked me how to make the gas can banjo so I made 11 videos, detailing step by step, how to do this, and also how to make a 5-string conversion on a 4 string banjo neck. Thanks to mrjrondeau for commissioning the project..

  • @cecil749 Depends on how you arrange the strings but yes.

  • Little scraps of Corian (countertop material) make very good nuts for stringed instruments. Ask a cabinet shop for scraps and work it just like wood. Corian is a trademarked name but other companies sell similar material.

  • Can 4 sring banjos be played with either hand?
