  • Looking forward to all that wonderful music down the road.

  • This line up of singers is Tenor: Wayne Little; Lead: Jimmy Blackwood (eldest son of James Blackwood); Baritone: Brad White; Bass: Randy Byrd.

As to the question of this being James or Jimmy Blackwood, James died in 2002 at the age of 82. This video couldn’t have been made before 2005, since that’s when this line-up was put together. The group was all but dormant after Cecil’s death in 2000 until 2004 when Jimmy joined Cecil’s son Mark and reformed the group.

  • @sheltv100 I have followed the Blackwood Brothers for over 50 years. I have never heard of Jimmy referred to as JJ.

  • Do people refer to James (Jimmy) Blackwood Jr. as J.J. Blackwood?

  • Elvis loved them!

    Soprano voice is very high!

Very Expressive, thanx for posting it

  • No James Blackwood is not in this. Jimmy jr is in this he is the guy with the glasses! you can see the old gang in the 1951 group with RW! nice to see other blackwoods singing for the Lord1 James Sr and nephew Cecial are gone now.

  • they were in my church today..was really good..

  • who is the tenor? He is awesome!!

  • No, James Sr. is second from the left. Jimmy isn't in this lineup. I don't know who the others are.

  • THEY ARE ONE OF THE BEST GROUPS IN THE ROAD TODAY, AS GOOD OR BETTER THEN THE OLD GROUP FROM 1934. THEY ARE JIMMY BLACKWOOD JAMES BLACKWOOD SR OLDEST SON,WAYNE LITTLE, Randy Byrd,Brad White The Blackwood Brothers Quartet was formed in 1934 with brothers Roy, Doyle, James and Roy's son, R.W. Although the group would not contain any brothers after 1950, the quartet with James as the enduring nucleus, would go on to become the best-known quartet in the history of gospel music.BEST will ever hear
