Manillo's Trade Shop:
At the trade shop, you can barter and exchange certain fish you've caught for rare or valuable items, possibly unique or interesting types of stuff. (Manilo is attracted to coins as he swims around underwater so you'll need a shiny coin to lure him into your grasp, catch him and buy his great items.
A fun task in Breath of Fire 3 is fishing. Take a break from the life of the the Dragon Clan and relax a bit. If you have a fishing pole and lure, you are able to fish. Fish are treated as tradable items. There are precious things that can only be purchased by exchanging fish you've caught. You can fish from the spot on the world map where you see a fish pop out of the water. Stand next to this positional spot and press the X button to enter the fishing area. Fishing Mode!
Cast out the line by pressing X button/ THe higher the value of casting power, the further your cast will sail. Use x button in combination with the directional buttons to create a rythm that attracts the fishies after your lure hits the water. Soon after, the fish grabs or bites the lure, the words READY FIGHT appear. This let's you know you have a chance to reel fishes in. Keep the cursor over the fish icon at all times as best as you can manage, reel the fishy in to exhaust it's energy especially if it's pulling on the line. Once you've reeled in the fish in question, you've caught / acquired the fish.
The Type of fish you caught is entered into the system, and you can view it by highlighting DATA and pressing X button. It lists Fish shape, Length, brief explanation of characteristics, effect of using this item on the field or in battle, and it's average size appear for analysis and data. The points you are given is determined by the length of the fish, and your class of fisherman is determined by total value of all fish combined.
Music: Lifes a Beach (Breath of Fire 3 OST) It normally plays during this portion of the game.

Breath of Fire III (ブレスオブファイアIII, Buresu obu Faia Surī?) is a console role-playing game developed and published by Capcom for the PlayStation game console. Originally released in Japan in 1997, the game was later released for North America and the PAL region in 1998. It is the third video game in the Breath of Fire series, and the first to feature three-dimensional environments and effects, as well as several new gameplay elements including an expanded combat system, the ability to learn enemy skills, and environment interaction. In 2005, Breath of Fire III was ported to the PlayStation Portable handheld system in Japan, with an English version released exclusively in Europe in 2006. Set in a fantasy world, the story concerns Ryu, a young boy with the mysterious ability to transform into powerful dragons who must discover the truth behind his origins, as well as locate his lost friends and surrogate family, Rei and Teepo. The game's plot is presented in two parts: half concerning Ryu as a child, and the other as an adult. He is accompanied by a number of supporting characters who aid him on a journey that leads them across the world and eventually confront a mad goddess. Though modestly successful, the game is described as a "thoroughly traditional" yet "classic" role-playing game with a unique Jazz-inspired soundtrack.
