August 23, 2000 - At Nintendo's pre-Spaceworld show event, the company featured two lengthy Gamecube FMV kiosks for two separate products. One of them was Silicon Knights' long-rumored Gamecube action-RPG Too Human (which of course looked amazing). The other came from an unknown development house called Mix-Core, which Nintendo told us is actually an new NCL startup comprised primarily of former company students. Interesting to be sure, but not nearly so much as the demo itself -- an absolutely bizarre, wondrously beautiful sequence called Rebirth.

  • i have a question

WHY DO ALL THE GOOD GAMES GET CANCELLED!!

  • I think Rare could have pushed Gamecube to these lenghts had they stayed with Nintendo. Just looking at Starfox Adventures it was looking pretty good for their first and only game on Gamecube.

  • @blasphemy06

I know right!? SFA was best looking game on gamecube, I can't believe Microsoft bought Rare...

  • @Niektendo This is a tech demo. It is not a game. It's an animation in real time.

  • hey this is just the mana tree !! With "chrono trigger" musics like

  • Resident evil 4 looked this good, minus the animations and shit, which isnt a fair comparison because this is just a tech demo not a game.

  • @Niektendo this was not a game, was a simply tech demo in real Time. That showed what the console could do.

  • this is just like Pixar

  • @tweltery Well, I know it won't be this, but hey, a man can dream. :(

  • Some recent Wii 2 rumor says it's going to launch with a new IP that's "visually beautiful". I hope it's this or at least something similar.
