Lovely tribute! I knew Allen Ludden did musical theater, but did not ever hear his singing.

That is sooo cool! I love that era. Im a baby boomer whose parents and sister have passed away....have only recently been able to watch or hear anything from the sixties or seventies. thanks for this! Still sad but I really love watching this stuff

Also, if Allen Ludden were alive today, he wouldn't be too pleased with the way that television is today. He would be shocked to hear about paternity and lie detector tests, cheating, "Who's My Baby's Daddy?", "Get Off My Stage!", fistfights breaking out on stage, cursing, and all of this so-called reality junk that's on.

If Allen Ludden were alive today, he would have been 93. But very sadly, he passed away thirty years ago on June 9; the same day that Natalie Portman was born.

I just wish more Hollywood couples were like them today. They were committed to each other. They didn't cheat on each other. They didn't have affairs. They didn't take drugs and alcohol. He wasn't physically or verbally abusive to her. They knew they meaning of the word "commitment".
