Artist: The Clay People
Song: Who Am I?
Album: The Clay People

Lay down she said
Why don't you just get a grip?
You're shutting down again
Reclusive bends
Weight like lead
And all your thoughts undone
You've become a loaded gun
Illusions can't give in
Are all those voices winning?

Confidence is running low
There is something missing
Who am I?

Confidence is running low
There is something missing
Who am I?
How long must I live a lie?

Lie down she said
You're always playing dead
Struggling between
All the chaos
Constant whispering
Can't get clear
The better of my fear
And at times I just pretend
That I've lost it again
I'm losing it again

Confidence is running low
There is something missing
Who am I?

Confidence is running low
There is something missing
Who am I?

They all talk at once
But no one's there
Raise your voice
A cold blank stare
Collusion in life
Tell him it's all right
It hurts you
You take
And you smile
I know you're faking it
Once again pretend
But you've lost it again

I know it's crazy
That what's my mind so very lazy
And you just don't understand
You see I am losing it again
I'm losing it again

How will I survive this time?
How will I survive this time?

Lay down she said
You're always playing dead
How can you survive
This just isn't right

Lay down she said
You're always playing dead
How can you survive
This just isn't right

Losing it again
Losing it again
Losing it again
Losing it again
It again...

  • Such a wonderfull sound ! :)

  • I used to go see these guys every friggin' weekend at the QE2 in Albany, and they're still one of my favorite bands to this day. Dan Neet was a hell of a frontman. Thanks for uploading this - brings back great memories.

  • @w000t1993 What's even more depressing/impressive is that it came out in 98. Good stuff none the less!

  • elég jó..! mégse ismerik sokan.. :S

  • Hát ez odab@sz!

  • yeah the singer has a unique voice, probably the reason why ppl. dont really like me much...

  • Sounds a lot like David in Disturbed .

  • this band is so underappreciated!
