Filmed on Canada 2009 trip, day 25. Ah, the last I'll see of this cabin until summer of 2011...
In this video, I do a pass around the outside of the cabin, showing off the outhouse and firewood holder I built between two trees. After swinging around the front of the cabin, I head inside and film what the insides look like. The animal heads, the pictures, the kitchen and so on.
I waited to film this on the last day because all our suitcases and food and stuff would be packed up. There wouldn't be time to film the cabin on the first night, what with everyone finishing up a 10-hour drive and throwing their stuff in the cabin before the sun setting and all. After the sunset... That's when the mosquitos come out to feeeeeeed on the living!
UPDATE! In the 18 months since chinking up the place (2009's project of stuffing foam and chaulk between the logs on walls of cabin), there has only been one bat sighting and no mice killed in the mouse traps! There have been some droppings, but 1/50th of what we normally see between stays.
