I could see this coming from the first part. Quentin is a rather silly girl and Jason is true-blue. Personally, I never thought he was too hard on her at all. She deserved it.

As much as Jason seems to be the mean guy in this film, he really does appear to have Quentin's well-being and safety in mind. Everyone thinks he is the villain, but in scene 12, when Tony & Quentin are about to make a getaway with the money, Tony is being put to the test by Jason to see whether he really does love Quentin as he told her he did. Bravo to Jason! You're the man, Jason!

I wonder what was the purpose of the church scene. Ben is really going where he should have been all this time or at least what they routinely did in the '50s.
It does serve to show that even the maid has accepted the downslide of this once wealthy family.
Onwe can almost see the light finally dawn on Quinton. she finally sees that there is more to 'love' than running off with the money.
