  • Another good looking Jodel (I'm thinking of building one!) and the maneuver is nicely done, but this appears to be a forward slip (i.e. a side slip is used to counteract a crosswind--aka a 'side' wind--by banking the aircraft into the crosswind while using opposite rudder to keep the aircraft's nose aligned with the runway's centerline all the way to touchdown; eliminating the need for the 'crab' seen just before the flare in this video.

    Thoughts?

  • that's why so many English people are moving out to New Zealand..

  • I wish i could, but with british aerospace authority laws, i wouldn't be able to fly it :( i have neither the plane nor the money to get into real planes, thats why i do rc, to atleast scratch the surface and feed my love for aviation :(

  • Great.. build one a little bigger and sit in it :-)

  • i am designing and building an RC Jodel DR-1050 with working speed brakes
