  • not "ahorras", horas.

Anyway, What happened to Herve and Brian Matingly? Did the corporation downsize them? Also why did the north campus get closed down?

    Kinda weird seeing

  • Chef Herve and Matingly had left to pursue other opportunities and were not downsized. It was concluded that the amount of money that it took to constantly repair and keep north campus running was to high and that it would better serve the students to be located on a single campus.

  • I went to the CCA in 2001. I now work in accounting.

  • go to CCSF instead if you're from CA. Same education at 1/5 of the price. and for those that say accelerated is better....quit lying to yourself. if you go to culinary school and you suck at every job, you're fucked out of 50k. if you go to CCSF for their program, you only spent 2-4k. shit you might even get to go for free.

  • SCAM SCHOOL

Career Education Corporation which owns CCA is being investigated by the Federal Government and could close more schools.

There are numerous student investigations and lawsuits along with shareholder investigations and lawsuits. It appears CEC has been running for-profit degree mills.

You could be entiltled to a refund.

  • I went to the Culinary Academy at the old California Hall building from 1992 to 1993. Chef Herve, Mattingly, Chef Reg, Mr Maurice Neves and countless others influenced me tremendously. I was 45 when I went there, it was like Boot Camp for 16 months but the food was better. I tried to make it a new career but was too old to work the line. I went back into computer work when the Dot Com bubble grew. I still cook and bake every day. The education was priceless - restaurant work is really tough.

  • @caculinary they got the boot, stop telling lies. and for anyone who is thinking of coming here, unless you won the lottery or have wealthy parents, dont bother coming here. way too much for how much you're going to make. and if you're naive enough to think passion will get you through it, have fun being broke for the next 15 years paying those loans. culinary school is the biggest rip off, not even an investment. go to ccsf culinary program instead...its only $2000 for 2 years
