Skate DC Weekend is one of the major urban inline street skating weekends in the U.S. Similar annual events take place in Miami, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. Cruising city streets on various long, fast routes is the main activity. There are also loosely organized parties and dinners. There is no fee to pay for participation and the event hotel is discounted for the skaters. The event took place on May 21-23, 2010.
